Crowds turn out for Saint David’s day parade

The annual celebrations of St David’s Day parade took place today from the Cardiff City Hall down to St Mary’s street in the centre of Cardiff. Crowds of people participated in the parade with flags, dressing up, singing, playing an instrument and speaking Welsh.

Saint David’s day is the Patron Saint of Wales which is celebrated every year on the 1st March. The day marks the death of Saint David in 589 AD.
