Riding for the Disabled Association (RDA) celebrated their 50th anniversary at Bridgend college, Pencoed campus, with a guest appearance from HRH Princess Anne.

It was the first time that the princess had visited the South Wales RDA. Three hundred representatives from South Wales RDA groups gathered to welcome her at the Pencoed Campus.
The Princess spent time meeting with volunteers and participants from around the area. In her address to guests, the Princess thanked the volunteers without whom RDA would not be possible. She acknowledged the team effort that it takes to help make such a real difference to people’s lives through riding and carriage driving.

After addressing the crowd the princess presented commemorative rosettes to riders and chatted with the group’s funders, who had been specially invited to the event.
