Immersed! festival returned to Cardiff’s Tramshed on Saturday, as it celebrates its fifth year. The festival, fully organised by USW Popular and Commercial Music students, brings together students from across the university’s Cardiff campus.
Boasting four stages, the festival, headlined by the award-winning rapper Lady Leshurr, featured over fifty artists from across Cardiff and beyond. Around 600 people attended, as Lady Leshurr performed viral hits such as her Queen Speech freestyle.

Immersed! 2023 aimed to raise awareness and funds for the industry’s climate change charity Music Declares Emergency.
The festival began with an award ceremony on Friday, celebrating five years of the festival, and concluded on Sunday with Immersed TV. Produced by media production students, Immersed TV brought together highlights from the weekend and celebrated the festival, broadcast live on YouTube.
