SIGHISOARA, ROMANIA, 13 March 2020. Veritas, a non-profit organisation set up to provide support to the Roma community in Transylvania. Since October they have been supported by an EU grant to provide medical services, job training, housing, schooling and anti-discrimination education. Roma mother Maria (pictured here) was welcoming enough to show me her family’s home at the Ștefan cel Mare village in Sighișoara where they live without electricity or running water. Support from the Veritas Foundation is working to unite Maria’s family and the Roma people with the rest of Romanian society.
