Cardiff, Wales. January 21st, 2021. Food for Life Wales is part of a mission set forth by Food For Life Global and the International Society For Krishna Consciousness to provide hot, plant based, meals to anyone in need. This includes the elderly and vulnerable, those who are unable to access services and low-income families or individuals. They are also providing meals to frontline workers to help relieve the strain on their families during the Covid-19 pandemic. Lockdown has restricted all collective worship and closed the not-for-profit plant based Atma Café that Cardiff’s Hare Krishna community normally run in the Capitol Centre in Cardiff. However, with the help from their volunteers, they are able to produce an estimated 800 meals each week, Pictured here in Shree Kutchi Leva Patel Samaj (CORR) (Cardiff) Community Centre.
