Focus Wales International Showcase Festival is back! The festival showcases a wide range of emerging and established talent from across the music and film industry. It was previously awarded ‘Best Festival for Emerging Talent’ at the UK Festival Awards and now it’s returning for a 12th year bringing with it 250 artists across 20 stages. Acts from around the world alongside local Welsh talent are coming to Wrexham from the 4th-6th of May. The lineup includes Billy Nomates, Squid, The Coral, Adwaith and Afro Cluster.

In addition to the music lineup, Focus Festival 2023 will also feature a range of interactive events and workshops, including talks and discussions on the future of the music industry, artist meet-and-greets, and opportunities for up-and-coming musicians to network with industry professionals. Focus Wales will also be hosting a music conference, with panels from industry professionals including Cindy Castillo (Mad Cool Festival, Spain), Ralf Niemczyk (Rolling Stone, Germany) and Mark Davyd (Music Venue Trust) plus many more.
The Focus Wales Film Festival will also return on May 5 and 6 inside Theatr Ial at Coleg Cambria to showcase the best short films from Wales and beyond, plus a selection of full-length features.
The event organisers have said the festival “will welcome over 20,000 people to the town, building upon 2022′s record attendance across a jam-packed weekend of events. There’s no place like Wrexham during FOCUS Wales, as we showcase 250+ artists from across the world, fill out a variety of spaces and music venues, using 20 stages, and hosting a full schedule of interactive industry sessions, arts events, and film screenings, throughout the festival.”
With a lineup of exciting talent and a range of interactive events and workshops, the festival promises to be an unmissable event for music lovers of all ages and backgrounds.
