Hapus Wales is a charity shop located in Llandaff North. Their aim is to provide ‘community engagement opportunities and social inclusion for people with special needs’. These can include learning disabilities, mental health needs and autism.
The shop helps to provide education and various classes to beneficiaries. One example is art classes, where beneficiaries can learn to make jewellery, glasswork and other crafts.

According to their Facebook page, Hapus Wales’ provides work experience to beneficiaries through work placements and volunteering opportunities in both retail outlets and community projects and office based environments. These opportunities can help to give beneficiaries meaningful experiences and promote independence, self esteem and confidence.
They are currently looking for charity shop assistants.
Hapus Wales is hoping to take their shop online, by selling items too expensive for the shop’s price range. The manager, Maureen said that she had been given a gravy boat to sell, which was worth over £20. The aim of the online shop is to provide further support for the charity and gain a wider demographic for the shop.
They are holding an earthquake appeal this Saturday, in St John’s Church Hall. There will be games, raffles, global cusine and activities. All donations will go to the Syria and Turkey appeal.
