England’s disappointing loss yesterday against Bangladesh, after their win just by four wickets, takes the series to 2-0.

In the second innings, England’s play was poor against Bangladesh, who outplayed the opposition. England faced a lot of wickets compared to Bangladesh’s strong batsmen. It surprised all Bangladesh fans who would have predicted the opposite in England’s tour.

England’s weakness was limited batsman options which made their game start slip into something the team wasn’t expecting. England raced to 50 for 1 in seven overs when Shakib Al Hasan bowled Phil Salt with Shakib’s reoccurring theme on this tour. Salt tried to return what Shakib did, but the delivery wasn’t promising.

As England reached a three-figure score, Mehidy Hasan landed his fourth wicket when Chris Jordan hit midwicket. England slipped from 91 to 4 to 100 for 7 in 17 balls.

England captain Jos Buttler said: “It was a different game of T20 cricket, and credit to Bangladesh for outplaying us. No batter ever wants to get out; it was a wicket which was tough to start your innings on. I thought Ben Duckett did well for us, and we just needed someone to stick with him.’’
