UPDATE: The A48 crash escalates questions about why it took so long for the police to find them?

The five people were found in the early hours of Monday morning. It’s now confirmed that Eve Smith, Rafel Jeanne and Darcy Ross died in the accident, whilst Sophie Russon and Shane Loughlin are critically injured in the University Hospital of Wales.

Family and friends are angry and are questioning why it took the police so long to find the group, as Sophie Russon’s mum criticises the two-day search for the group.

Sophie Russon’s mum Anna Certowicz said police “didn’t seem to think it was worth investigating”.

Family and friends repeatedly made appeals on social media to find the group over the weekend. The group was last seen in Cardiff at about 02:00 on Saturday morning but was not found until 01:00 on Monday, nearly 48 hours later.
