Community centre in Cardiff to shelter people from cold weather

By Ben Jones and Daniel Davies

Cardiff’s Trinity Centre is offering coffee mornings to people looking for somewhere warm during projected cold weather across the UK.

The Met Office issued two yellow warnings this week that cover most of Wales. Yellow warnings mean that there is likely to be snow and ice across the country, starting from Thursday.

The cold weather is expected to continue beyond the warning period. The Trinity Centre will be running the coffee mornings every Wednesday between 10:30 and 12pm.

The posted advert says: “No cost – All are welcome for hot drinks, biscuits and refreshments.”

The postcode of the Trinity Centre is CF24 1LE, for those who wish to attend.

The Met Office’s recommendations for staying safe over the course of the yellow warning can be found here – https://www.metoffice.gov.uk/weather/warnings-and-advice/seasonal-advice/stay-safe-in-snow
