The Safe Foundation is offering community training to improve people’s chances of securing employment.
Aided by financial support from Cardiff City Council, they are providing barista training, customer service skills and support for community members.
The training is held at Railway Gardens, a community garden in Splott, Cardiff.
Several participants have already found employment as a direct result of the training provided, with sessions running on Tuesdays, starting from 11am.
The volunteer coordinator, Sophie Lewis, said: “We’re holding free Conscious Coffee training for anyone interested in building their hospitality and customer service skills!
“Working in a small group over three hours, you’ll get hands-on experience of using a coffee machine and learn entry level Barista skills including milk texturing to espresso calibration.
“Framing our training around our international aid work, we also explore coffee production, sustainability and ethical supply chains.”
If the training is fully booked and you’d like to be added to the waiting list, please email Sophie on volunteercoordinator@thesafefoundation.co.uk
