Cardiff City football club were back into Championship League action this weekend after hosting Premier League side Leeds United in the 2-2 FA Cup Tie last week.
Hosting Wigan Athletic this week, Cardiff were looking for three points to take them up the table as they currently sit bottom in the league.

Both sides had chances during the first half but no one could find the back of the net. The secound half of the game was more of the same, with both Cardiff City and Wigan Athletic playing end to end football.
It wasn’t untill the 82nd mintue that The Bluebirds found the back of Keeper, Ben Amos’, net. Jarden Philogene crossed the ball into the box as it found the boot of Callum O’Dowda, as he tucked the ball into the bottom corner. The three points look to stay with the home team until Will Keane took a shot during the closing minutes of extra time. Resulting in a very much needed goal for Wigan, to ensure they take a point back to Greater Manchester.
Final Score Cardiff City 1 – 1 Wigan Athletic
