The Field of Remembrance opens at Cardiff Castle

The field of remembrance at Cardiff Castle officially opened today and is a chance for people to pay their respects to those who lost their lives in the war. Th event is organised and run by the Royal British Legion who were in attendance for the opening service. The poppies laid in the ground represent the lives lost in different wars. The service began with a marching band then went to passages of readings from religious and political leaders, including the First minister Mark Drakeford. The field is free to visit from today the 3rd of November until the 17th of November.
