Netflix has donated two benches to Cardiff as part of a mental health campaign to mark the premiere of Ricky Gervais’ final series ‘After Life.’ The benches have been installed in Canton’s Victoria Park and Lisvane’s Parc Cefn Onn.

Each bench is inscribed with a quote from Season 3 of After Life, “Hope is Everything,” as well as a plaque that reads, “This bench is donated by Netflix to commemorate Ricky Gervais’ ‘After Life.'”

The After Life series focuses on people who are dealing with bereavement, loneliness, and mental health issues. Netflix has donated 25 benches to local councils around the UK to commemorate Ricky Gervais’ After Life TV series.

The benches have been commissioned alongside suicide prevention charity Campaign Against Living Miserably (CALM) and feature QR codes leading to online resources and a message of support.

Ricky Gervais said: “We hope the benches will create a lasting legacy for After Life, as well as become a place for people to visit, and we are thrilled to be associated with CALM and the great work they do.”
