Spotting this pink unicorn is becoming a right of passage around Cardiff. The inflatable creature named Myfanwy has a Facebook page bringing the city of Cardiff together in tough times to announce sightings and share photos. The unicorn is often spotted in random locations all over Cardiff. Myfanwy’s purpose is to “keep people happy and spread the love when people need it most.” The response has been tremendous with people all over Cardiff posting their encounters on Facebook and twitter and even a feature in ITV news. Sheila Charles writes on Facebook: “Keep going and keep making people smile”.

This is truly a wonderful way to create some much needed excitement and happiness as the Welsh lockdown continues, coming up to a year since the beginning.
