Spring is fast approaching which means that it is almost time to start sowing seeds for summer. Community seed banks conserve and make available a range of crop varieties and populations that may else have been lost.
Traditionally, the main objective of a seed bank has been to save and exchange local seeds, as well as making excess and unusual seeds available to others. The RHS has amassed over 200 years of gardening advice to help and encourage all that need it, from beginners to professionals.
