Online fashion retailer Boohoo has confirmed it has bought the Debenhams brand for £55 million and will relaunch the department store as an online-only operation. The move will not include any of the firm’s remaining 118 High Street stores or its workforce, which means up to 12,000 jobs at the department chain store are set to go.
