Snap! Photojournalism graduate bags dream job during pandemic

CARDIFF, WALES. 11 February 2020. Pictured is Matthew Lofthouse one of the Wales Media Award, Photographer of the year nominee’s. Matthew is a sports photographer whose story on Cardiff Met FC qualifiying for the Europa League was picked up by multiple established newspapers, football wedsbites and blogs from around the world. Matthew says “What I love about photojournalism is a lot of hours go into recording an event or unique moment. When you've planned to capture something or waited for something to happen at an event, you get a little buzz inside when you capture it on camera. I'm addicted to this buzz and if you were to shadow me whilst I work, you'd notice I do the odd fist pump or speak out loud in joy if I get the shot I've been after.”
